The ISKCON Disciples Course (IDC) is a training program that helps devotees understand guru-tattva and taking shelter of a guru within ISKCON’s multiple-guru system. It is intended primarily for new devotees preparing for initiation, and is also recommended for ISKCON leaders, preachers, counselors, and educators. Developed under the guidance of the Guru Services Committee, the course draws on the teachings of Srila Prabhupada, current ISKCON law, and references from the wider Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition.
ISKCON Disciples Course (IDC) is a training program that deepens devotees' understanding of guru tattva and guru padasraya within the multiple guru environment of ISKCON. Designed for new devotees preparing to take initiation in ISKCON, the course is also recommended for leaders, preachers, counselors, and educators in ISKCON. The course was developed under the direction of the Guru Services Committee, with the combined efforts of leading educators in ISKCON. The course is based on the teachings of Srila Prabhupada and current ISKCON Law and gives reference to the writings from the broader Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition.
